December 16-20

Reminder:  Mrs. Slavik's class will be presenting their Europe in the Middle Ages projects this week during history class (they are due Monday the 16th)!

What we are doing this week:

In MUR...
Spelling homework is due Friday. This week we are working on words with the long -E pattern.

This week we will read another Jr. Great Books story called Tuesday of the other June. We will create and test questions about the story and then have seminar on Friday to discuss the story.

In MUM...
Homework is due on Friday.

This week we will be prepping for the second interim of the school year by reviewing all the skills and concepts that we have worked on throughout the school year. We will start the geometry strand when we get back from break.

Even if your child works 5-10 minutes a night on facts they will be successful in class each day. Thank you for your continued support at home!

In History...
This week Mrs. Slavik's class will wrap up the Europe in the Middle Ages unit by presenting their at-home projects. These projects were assigned 2 1/2 weeks ago. I am very excited to see what the students came up with starting tomorrow!

In Writing...
This week we will start working on writing descriptive paragraphs.

Read Aloud...
This week we will wrap up reading James and the Giant Peach and on Thursday we will watch the movie with Mrs. Slavik's class to see the differences and similarities between the text and media representation.
