Jan. 20-24

Happy MLK day! Today we will spend some time talking about Martin Luther King and the civil rights movement to remember how important this period of time was in the history of the United States. 

This Friday is an early release day. School lets out at 1:00. 

Next Friday is the OSA for January. The OSA starts at 2:50 in the gym at the Community Center. 

In MUR...
This week we will continue to work on our test taking unit along with taking the second reading interim of the school year. 

In MUM...
This week we will be working on properties of squares and rectangles along with reviewing how to measure angles up to 180 degrees. We will also continue to review skills and concepts that we have learned throughout the year as we come closer to taking the 3rd math interim of the school year (Feb. 11-12). 

In History... 
This week my homeroom is switching to Mrs. Slavik for the Human Body unit in science. They will be learning all about the heart and lungs. 

Mrs. Slavik's class will be with me for the next few weeks learning all about the Dynasties of China. 
In Writing... 
This week we will continue to work on our animal research papers.
