In Writing...
This week and last we have been working on writing a great paragraph. Students are writing about topics such as best friends, favorite holidays and school. Each assignment is done in class. We are really working on writing neatly with complete sentences, appropriate punctuation and capitalization, along with using great word choice and specific details.
We will also be spending 1-2 days per week in the lab working on our typing skills. The free website that we will use is http://www.freetypinggame.net if you would like to access it at home. Another great site that you can encourage your child to use at home is called http://www.bbc.co.uk/schools/typing/.
