What we are doing this week:
In MUR...
This week we will not have spelling homework but we continue to work in class on the long -a spelling pattern.
This week we will also be working with linking verbs in grammar.
We will be reading the Jr. Great Books story Thank You Ma'am by Langston Hughes this week and working on developing questions based on the story. On Friday we will have a class seminar were students will discuss their thoughts and opinions about the story.
I have encouraged the students to go to the library and get the second book of the series if they enjoyed the first book - which all the students did! The second book is called The Genius Files: Never Say Genius.
